He wants to check in on the man, but he's also looking for advice and he doesn't want to come off as just using the excuse of being friendly to solicit a therapist's opinion. But Mina's dead and he isn't sure what to do. It's another person he failed to protect. Another woman he cared about and who was relying on him.
